Steiner Flughafebeck is a traditional bakery that has successfully built up a large regular clientele in its eleven existing branches for over 90 years. At Zurich Airport, the company has known how to delight a wide audience with its products since 1976. Pfeffermint took on the task of developing a contemporary utilization and design concept so that Steiner can continue to hold its own against the growing competition at the airport in the future. The salesroom was expanded into a café with an adapted space program and a new consumption zone. The dark color in the room perfectly accentuates the naturalness of the baked goods. Together with the ash wood, which runs as a material throughout the entire premises and acts as a powerful brand recognition feature by means of a floor-to-ceiling shelf, a fresh, urban and at the same time authentic mood is created that is able to set the stage for the baking trade in an atmospheric way. Thanks to the installation of a pop-up during the extremely short renovation period, sales were able to continue seamlessly without any major loss of sales.
