The restaurant of the Arbeitskette Foundation in Kreis 5 in Zurich was struggling with the change in the neighborhood structure and the growing competition in the gastronomic scene. Through a location analysis in cooperation with the gastronomy consultancy "Suited & Booted", it became clear that the restaurant had to take the step from a daytime operation to an all-day operation. The stiff ambience had to be dissolved and the atmosphere of a neighborhood pub had to be created. Pfeffermint therefore added a bar and lounge area to the interior to create a new coziness. The white tablecloths have disappeared and made way for simple wooden tables. A coherent color concept makes the establishment approachable for everyone. The simple bourgeois cuisine, which is possible in the processes of an integrative operation, could thus be preserved and the matching mood is now reflected in the interior design. In retrospect, the repositioning has worked, and sales have increased.
